Tom Arnold: No Sperm Whale But A Funny Guy

comedy logoTom Arnold performed a two-night, one man show at the Tropicana Laugh Factory Sept. 15-16. But there was a  sense of  more than one entity on stage. The stocky comedian’s high energy, totally self-effacing delivery was alive with former wives, a family dog named Lucy, his previous Hollywood A-list costars and his ailing father.

Arnold called upon God and his adopted Jewish personification to help him get through personal straits and also to help get certain points across while on stage. Where with some comedians the constant use of the F-bomb might seem vulgar: with Arnold it’s just part of who he is. It suits his persona. He’s not using it as a fatigued trope.

From Hugh Grant’s dalliance with a prostitute, to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s love child; to Arnold’s own low sperm count and his numerous attempts to conceive with several wives, the bespectacled performer never spared himself as he sprinkled his lively monologue with references to his upbringing on a farm in Iowa and his high school job in a local meat packing factory. The writer, actor and producer lives in LA with his wife, Ashley Groussman, and their two children. For tour dates and information: http://tomarnoldcomedy.com/

Daniel Emmet: He Sang, He Crooned, He Conquered

It was with no regret that this year we chose to attend the Daniel Emmet concert at The Space, Las Vegas, over watching the 69th Emmy male singer in leather coatAwards. The 24-year-old mega talent mesmerized the audience with his soaring sustained vocals on a number of beloved classics rendered in a variety of  romance languages and a tour de stage of backup singers and musicians helped show off Emmet’s pop music abilities.

Emmet is no stranger to international concert halls and to date he is negotiating a residency on the Strip at an as yet undisclosed venue. The engaging young man is also raking in accolades for his ability to compose virtually anything including film scores, popular music, arias, and concertos. He truly is, as touted, “a cross between Bocelli and Josh Groban”. Under the direction of respected musical director, Jerry Williams, there is no doubt Daniel Emmet is a star that will shoot to infinity and beyond. We’re pleased to announce that Daniel Emmet will be a special guest on That’s So Vegas! TV this fall. Stay tuned!
