I’ve been known to joke about “wearing a lot of gelt” while I was married. I was of course referring to the jewels and furs gifted to me by my errant husband. The Hanukkah Gelt is another story; it refers to the foil wrapped chocolate money pieces gifted to children during Hebrew holidays. Since Passover is nigh upon us and on the heels of Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter, I thought it would be nice to post a kosher cocktail recipe that should be pleasing to all but a few of the faithful.
Guiltless Gelt Cocktail
2 parts potato vodka (to keep Kosher by not using grain alcohol)
1 part Goldschlager
Combine in a shaker with ice, mix gently and strain into a chilled cocktail glass….. L’Chaim!
