***Lady Antebellum***

‘Our Kind Of Vegas’

Photos By Denise TruscelloThe Palms Casino Resort’s Pearl Concert Theater has been graced with the residency of several of the finest musicians to come out of Nashville and the South in general. Vocalist Hillary Scott’s pure and true contralto has made the Grammy-winning country group,  Lady Antebellum, internationally renown with  hits like “Need You Now” and “Looking For A Good Time”.

The group is composed of Scott (lead and background vocals), Charles Kelley (lead and background vocals, guitar), and Dave Haywood (background vocals, guitar, piano, mandolin). Scott is the daughter of country music singer Linda Davis, and Kelley is the brother of pop singer Josh Kelley.

During a recent performance, in addition to the mesmerizing vocal harmonies, a stellar band and special guest appearances, the two lead singers engaged the audience with humorous chitchat about how their lives—and their lyrics—have changed since both became parents. How does one explain to a child, “It’s a quarter after one, I’m a little drunk, and I need you now”? (It’s all for the sake of art?) The proud parents each took a moment to salute their children who were in the audience.

Our Kind of Vegas, which  launched Feb. 8, 2019 at the Palms Casino Resort’s Pearl Concert Theater, is the first Country act to headline the venue. The Lady Antebellum trio combines their chart-topping songs with unparalleled production and multidimensional staging.  This is a show that is certain to appeal to all ages and all lovers of really good music.
