You could almost miss The Presto Cafe. Nestled in a frontage strip mall between a nail shop and another tiny retail store the cafe seats maybe fourteen in a cheery, clean environment. The food is probably some of the most delicious healthy, near gourmet and creative “cafe” food in Vegas.
Owned and operated by Reza Arshadi and Azad Zahedi, this little gem has been open for a year. The menu includes gourmet sandwiches, home-made Pides, seasonal salads and soups, a smoothie juice and coffee bar. Vegetarians, vegans, carnivores, omnivores and gourmands alike will find something to satisfy their appetites the Presto Cafe.
Dinner items include: poached fresh Atlantic salmon in a Chia seed infused citrus reduction sauce, No-pasta Lasagna with sweet potato, kale and eggplant, Hanger Steak Chimichurri with truffled Israeli couscous and wild mushroom. Lunch offerings include seasonal salads, B.Ruben with slaw, gruyere and Russian dressing on Russian Raisin rye; turkey, cheese and avocado on rustic cranberry walnut bread; eggplant vegan with roasted peppers, goat cheese, red onion, olive tapenade and field greens on olive bread; ham and cheese and homemade meatball sliders on brioche mini buns.
For the early eater there is the Breakfast Sandwich on bacon cheese bread, the Breakfast Bowl of beans, potatoes, corn, tomato and avocado over easy eggs and cheese; Green Eggs & Ham flatbread with spinach, pesto and cheese; an egg, bacon, cheese, avocado, spinach and tomato wrap or croissants, tarts and danishes.
The Presto Cafe is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The quality of the food and the accent on healthy eating combined with hands-on creative culinary twists make any meal at the tiny Presto Cafe a delightful dining experience. Highly recommended! -Christine McKellar
