Genitalia Origami and X Burlesque: That’s SO Vegas!
May is the month for openings and anniversaries. Producers Angela and Matt Stabile celebrated a lucky 13th anniversary of their contemporary and erotic show, X Burlesque, at Boulevard Cocktail at the Linq last week. Thanks to the ongoing commitment and dedication of the Stabiles, the choreography in X Burlesque is as timely and as hot, steamy and sensual as it has been from the beginning.
Among the revelers at the VIP party before the anniversary show were the two stars of Puppetry of the Penis. Yes, only in Vegas. Unlike The Vagina Monologues, I don’t think PP (groan) will make it to Broadway: however, I have yet to see the show.
Puppetry of the Penis, which has begun an open-ended run in the Jewel Box Exhibit Space at the Erotic Heritage Museum on Industrial Road, celebrates and I quote, “the ancient Australian art of genital origami.” (I just knew I was missing something as the author/lecturer on a Princess cruise ship when I went Down Under several years ago). Ah, well…That’s So Vegas!
