Vegas Summer Showtime! Three For All: Kids, Adults & Family

In Christine on The Scene by Christine McKellar

During the summer months Las Vegas is like a raw egg in the hot sun. In order to keep the throngs of tourists that pour into the city happy and fully sated things really heat up and get cooking on the Strip. There are afternoon matinees for the kiddies and late night male and female strip shows for the adults: after-dinner shows fit for the family and the general public; and after-hour nightclubs that boast celebrity DJ’s to entertain hardcore partiers until dawn.

A good show for the whole family is the 4 p.m. daily (dark Tuesday and Friday) Jeff head shot Jeff CCivillico show at the new Quad Resort & Casino on the Strip. Kiddies should  be prepared to don a safety helmet and be part of Jeff’s somewhat manic act. With a toothy smile and hyper-stylized mannerisms very similar to a young Jim Carey, Civillico keeps the energy and audience on a nonstop roll while he dazzles with superior chin (a twelve-foot ladder) and hand (bowling balls and chain saws included) juggling. Audience participation helps keep each show fresh and hilarious.

On the serious side, Civillico is the Founder and President of Win-Win Entertainment, a non-profit organization that facilitates performers in donating their time and talent to charity organizations in need of entertainment. He is also a member of the Young Non-Profit Professionals Network of Southern Nevada.

After dinner (or thereabouts) is the Frankie (not Frank) Moreno (not Marino) show at the Stratosphere.  With Enrique Iglesias good looks, Elvis Presley hips, and a flairFrankie on piano for keyboard acrobatics, Moreno and his outstanding 10-piece band energize and tantalize the house with classic covers, original hits, and hot choreography. Moreno moves, he grooves, he sings from his core, and he works the black and whites effortlessly and from all angles.

Moreno was named “Vegas Headliner of the Year” and performed his hit “Tangerine Honey” in 2013 on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” Frankie Moreno LIVE! at the Stratosphere is an unforgettable show for all ages.
