Location, Local Brews & A Real High Roller

cheeseburger yard houseLocation historically has a lot to do with an enterprise’s success. The new Yard House restaurant located at the base of the High Roller observation wheel in The LINQ entertainment, dining, retail and nightlife district has scored hugely in that arena. The bi-level restaurant offers the extensive menu and legendary keg-room guests have become accustomed to associate with the popular chain.

However, diners will also have up front views of the 520-foot diametersea food appetizer yard house observation wheel and glimpses of its twenty-eight, 44,000 pound glass enclosed cabins that each holds up to 40 people. A single rotation of the wheel lasts for thirty minutes—long enough to enjoy a pre-dinner appetizer and a specialty crafted beer at the Yard House while awaiting your turn on the wheel.

Open daily for lunch, dinner and late night dining, the new restaurant three glasses of beerspans more than 18,000 feet. Over 160 tap beers are available including offerings from local breweries such as Big Dog Brewing Company, Joseph James Brewing Company and Tenaya Creek Brewing. The menu includes more than 150 items from appetizers, tacos and burgers, to steaks, seafood and ribs. An “Eat Late” menu, available after 10 p.m., features a Black Truffle Cheeseburger, Pastrami Dog, Chilaquiles, Monte Cristo Pops and more.

Many diners aren’t aware that the Yard House was named after the 3-foot-tall beverage glasses used long ago in Great Britain to refresh stagecoach drivers with a healthy draught of homemade brew after a long journey by horse drawn carriages.

dessert at the yard houseWith two other Yard House restaurants in the valley, one at Red Rock and one at Town Square, it seems only fitting that the parent company would find a site for a third restaurant at the base of the largest observation wheel in the world: and nestled in the heart of the entertainment capital of the world.

There is no way this new addition to the dining scene in Las Vegas can be anything but a towering success.

Yard House at The LINQ officially opens February 28 at 3 p.m. For more information call 702-597-0434, or visit the website: http://www.yardhouse.com/NV/las-vegas-restaurant-linq/
