Beer Does it Again! Beer Margarita Recipe

In The Imbibery and Distillery by Christine McKellar

If you hear a flapping noise it’s not Hitchcock’s psychopathic birds. It’s me patting myself on the back. Did I not say four years ago that beer is the new bubbly? Beer is the all-around cocktail buddy of late. I am especially intrigued with coffee beer this year. Rather than wax post-prophetic or egocentric, let’s move on to BEER MARGARITAS for Super Bowl Sunday. Now here is a politically correct concoction men and women can equally enjoy!

Makes 6 1-cup servings

1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate

12 fluid ounces tequila

12 fluid ounces water

12 fluid ounces beer

1 lime, cut into wedges

Kosher salt

Directions: Pour limeade, tequila, water, and beer into a large pitcher. Stir until well-blended, and limeade has melted. Add plenty of ice, and garnish with salted rim and  lime wedges. Adjust with additional water, if needed.
