Fog Cutter Cocktail: Feeling Fuzzy, Dad? Forgeddaboudit!

two citrus cocktailsNow here’s a classic cocktail from the 1930s. Created at Don the Beachcomber in Hollywood by bartender Tony Ramos, this concoction will make Dad forget about the heat, forget about the grill, forget about whose kid you are and what day it is. This adult beverage should be named the “Forgeddaboudit”.

Proceed with caution if you want Dad to stay with the party all day long. One or two of these fully loaded cocktails should suffice–followed by two aspirin and an ice pack.

FOG CUTTER COCKTAIL

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz light rum
  • ½ oz brandy
  • ½ oz gin
  • 1 ½ oz orange juice
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 tsp orgeat syrup
  • 1 tsp sherry

Instructions:

Mix everything except the sherry in shaker with ice. Strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Float the sherry on top.
