SALT ROOM LV HAS BENEFITS
contributed by Jackie Brett
Dry salt therapy, commonly known as Halotherapy, is a holistic, drug free, natural therapy using micro particles of salt to promote an impressive list of benefits such as better breathing, healthier skin and overall wellness. The best visual description someone gave is dry salt therapy is like a toothbrush for your lungs and skin, and everyone can benefit.
A few months ago Salt Room LV in Summerlin hit its three-year milestone. The establishment’s dedicated and enthusiastic founder and owner Ava Mucikyan built her solid relaxing “salt cave” from large thick imported Himalayan salt bricks making the walls. The floor is covered in Himalayan salt pebbles, while pharmaceutical-grade, breathable salt particles circulate throughout the room and create a mist.
The quiet cave has comfortable lounge chairs and an ultra-relaxing spa-like atmosphere. With loose clothing suggested, you can read, talk with others, or just relax in chairs with a chaise lounge option while taking in a glorious rather addicting experience. While in the room, singer and Broadway veteran Niki Scalera testified how the salt cave helped her sinus and breathing problems. Mucikyan says a 45-minute session is equivalent to three days at an ocean beach.
With the therapy also healthy for children, Mucikyan built a colorful separate dedicated salt playroom for young folk. In addition, Salt Room LV hosts monthly yoga and meditation workshops and can accommodate multiple guests or private sessions. Spa treatments are offered in separate private rooms.
Merchandise products made of from pure Himalayan salt, such as shot glasses, lamps and blocks are available. Since opening in 2015, Salt Room LV has developed its own line of all-natural skin care products using organic ingredients, including salt scrubs, bath salts, body lotions and lip balm
