The Latin Recording Academy hosted the 22nd Latin GRAMMY Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Nov. 18. The Biggest Night in Latin Music, with the theme “Rediscovering Life Through Music,” invited audiences to use music as a storyline to discover what’s essential in life. As part of the year’s festivities, presenters and performers received an exclusive invitation to indulge in one of the show’s most anticipated perks: Official Backstage Talent Gift Lounge.
The Backstage Talent Gift Lounge is an interactive and anticipated experience for talent and an ideal opportunity to showcase their products with international trendsetters and legends at Latin music’s prestigious awards ceremony.
“We have different genres of music, but in the lounge, everyone comes together,” says Lizza Monet Morales, actress. “It is so super fun.” One way the 22nd Latin GRAMMY Awards supports Latin music is that hashtags in English and Spanish can be added to profiles for the first time.
The Official Backstage Talent Gift Lounge was open all three days of rehearsals and featured gifts from select telecast sponsors and supporters. Talent will have the opportunity to scoop up the faster-and-more-powerful-than-ever ROKU® Streaming Stick®4K, MASTERCARD’s brand new Priceless world-class fragrances, RËZO HAIRCARE plant-based Curl Define Shampoo + Conditioner + Gel gift sets, personally-engraved bottles of JOSE CUERVO Reserva de la Familia Reposado small-batch tequila, special edition gift boxes with GAMESA® Galletas Marias, and a GOOGLE Nest Mini to stream their favorite music, podcasts and get hands-free help from Google.
The award show’s official wine sponsor, New World Chilean wines from FRONTERA WINES, Frontera Wines partnered with Mexican American abstract artist Edgar Medina. The painter created a new original painting, Rhythms of Imagination. Edgar combined pieces of canvas created by presenters and nominees in the lounge to develop a work of art. The final piece will be auctioned off on the online auction site CharityBuzz (charitybuzz.com) on Nov. 30, with proceeds supporting the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation.
The Latin Recording Academy is an international nonprofit dedicated to honoring, celebrating, nurturing, and elevating Latin music.
