AJR WILL RETURN TO THE COSMOPOLITAN IN 2020: The pop trio AJR performed at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan last June and will return on June 12, 2020. Tickets start at $39.50 and $49.50 for reserved seating. The indie band headlined multiple high-capacity venues on the first leg of “The Neotheater World Tour” and will be on the road again with “Neotheater World Tour Part II” running through major North American markets. AJR’s latest album “Neotheater” debuted at the top of the Billboard charts last summer, at No. 8 on the Billboard’s Top 200, No. 1 on both the Alternative and Rock Albums charts, No. 4 on the Top Albums chart, and No. 3 on the Pop Albums chart. The trio’s current single “Dear Winter” recently hit 30 million total streams and is now in rotation on more than 100 radio stations across the country.
POST MALONE’S ‘RUNAWAY TOUR’ WILL STOP AT MGM GRAND: Grammy® Award-nominated Post Malone extends the Runaway Tour, launching the second leg in 2020. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will make a Las Vegas stop at MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday, March 14 at 8 p.m. Again, Swae Lee, who has made a name for himself outside of Southern hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd, and new kind of Rockstar Tyla Yaweh will appear as special guests. The diamond-certified Dallas, Texas, artist Malone continues making history. His latest album, “Hollywood’s Bleeding,” recently returned to No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 for the fifth non-consecutive week, marking the longest run atop the chart this year. It stands out as the biggest album event of 2019 and will continue his reign into 2020.
PEPE AGUILAR WILL HEADLINE MANDALAY BAY EVENTS CENTER: Mexican American singer-songwriter Pepe Aguilar will perform at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, May 2, 2020, at 9 p.m. Ticket range is $49 to $249. Aguilar, the son of Mexican icons, Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre, has released 27 albums over the past 25 years and sold more than 12 million records internationally, with 15 recordings reaching the top of the Billboard charts. His many awards include six Grammy, three Latin Grammy, and 13 Lo Nuestro Awards, along with several Latin Billboard Awards. In 2012, he received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On his 2018 “Jaripeo sin Fronteras” tour Aguilar performed for more than 100,000 fans over five nights and sold out venues throughout Mexico and the United States. For television, he accepted the challenge of composing the themes for the OYE Awards and Mexico’s famed Telethon.
JEFF CIVILLICO ENDING 10-YEAR RUN ON THE STRIP: Headliner Jeff Civillico, producer and star of his one-man “Comedy in Action” show, will hold his final performance on Wednesday, Dec.18 at 7 p.m. in the Anthony Cools Showroom at Paris. Civillico is shifting focus to the national expansion of his nonprofit Win-Win Entertainment, which he founded and chairs. He is also the Celebrity Ambassador for the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, and a sought-after personality for the corporate market as an entertainer, master juggler, emcee and keynote speaker.
VICKI BARBOLAK’S TRAILER PARK TUESDAYS EXTENDED: Comedienne Vicki Barbolak, known for her “trailer trash” branding and being a top 10 finalist on “America’s Got Talent,” has had her weekly 8 p.m. Tuesday-night gig at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club at The LINQ Promenade extended a second eight weeks through Jan. 13. However, no show on New Year’s Eve.
KAMU – ULTRA KARAOKE WILL OPEN AT GRAND CANAL SHOPPES: KAMU – Ultra Karaoke will be the first high-end karaoke club on the Strip when it opens in February 2020 on the second floor of the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian in the Palazzo Tower. KAMU will be the ultimate in luxury and technology with more than 40 private karaoke rooms. Hours will be daily from noon to 8 a.m. KAMU guests will be greeted by Aqua Reign’s first and only digital water curtain featuring displays of thousands of water droplets released in sequences to create moving images, patterns or text using recyclable falling water serving as pixels creating a constantly moving screen. Upon check in, aspiring singers are guided to one of 40 customizable rooms where they can belt out the hits in a private setting with friends and/or family. Vocalists can sing along to tracks from a catalogue of thousands of songs or their own collection, with the option to stream music from personal phones through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Each karaoke room will have advanced industry software for an unmatched audio and visual experience. KAMU also has technology to turn the rooms into private e-gaming suites with bottle service or convert a small business meeting into a hip VIP experience. With more than 17,000 square feet, KAMU features a kitchen with hand-crafted bites and full-service bar complete with an inspired cocktail program. Celebrity Chef Chris Oh will infuse his flair for Rockstar Korean fare.
BANKSY EXHIBIT WILL OPEN AT FASHION SHOW: Exhibition producer EMS Entertainment has announced the U.S. debut of “Bansky: Genius or Vandal?” The limited-engagement exhibition featuring the mysterious street artist Bansky’s famous works from private collectors is coming soon inside Immersion Vegas, the new venue at the Fashion Show mall, and will run through Sunday, April 5, 2020. The 12,000-square-foot exhibit is arriving from successful runs in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Madrid and Lisbon, where it was seen by more than a million people. “Bansky: Genius or Vandal?” will showcase more than 70 original creations from the groundbreaking and mysterious street artist, including “one of a kind” artworks, 3D objects, limited editions, photographs, video installations and a specially created multimedia presentation.
‘POTTED POTTER’ EXTENDED AT BALLY’S: With the spell cast, “Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Potter Experience – A Parody by Dan and Jeff” recently celebrated its 200th performance at The Magic Attic showroom inside Bally’s. Even better, the family-friendly show has extended its run at Bally’s through May 2020. The show created by two-time Olivier Award-nominated BBC Television actors Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner debuted in Las Vegas this year on June 4. Recently “Potted Potter” won two local “Review Journal” newspaper Best of Las Vegas awards – “Best New Production” (Gold) and “Best Value Show” (Bronze). The current stars in the show are “Potted Potter” alumni, Brendan Murphy and Scott Hoatson. During the holiday season, additional shows have been added: Nov. 28 at 2 and 8 p.m.; Dec. 23 at 2 p.m.; Dec. 25 at 2 and 8 p.m.; Dec. 26 at 8 p.m.; Dec. 30 at 2 p.m.; and Jan. 2 at 2 p.m. Tickets range from $39.99 to $99.99.
FOUNDERS COFFEE WILL HOLD GRAND OPENING: Founders Coffee at Warm Springs and Durango is set for a Thursday, Dec. 5 Grand Opening. The locally owned shop will offer coffee, teas, smoothies, snacks, and more in the shop or at the drive thru. Founders’ all-day food menu will feature toasts, waffles, quiches, and breakfast bowls. Hours will be daily 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. In honor of the grand opening, diners who sign up for the Founders email list in person on Dec. 5 will be entered to win one of five “Coffee for a Year” prizes – a free specialty coffee every week for an entire year.
WILCO WILL VISIT BROOKLYN BOWL: Alternative Rock icons Wilco will make a stop at Brooklyn Bowl at The LINQ Promenade on the band’s “Ode To Joy Tour” on Saturday, April 4. The tour is following the October 2019 release of their newest album by the same name. Tickets start at $59.50. In conjunction with announcing new North American tour dates, the band released a video for “Before Us,” a track from the “Ode to Joy” album. This video was directed and filmed at The Loft in Chicago during recording sessions for the album in early 2019. Wilco originally formed in 1994 and throughout the past two-plus decades have won multiple Grammy Awards, released 11 studio albums, a live double album, as well as a trio of albums with Billy Bragg penning music to lyrics by Woody Guthrie. Collectively, Wilco has founded their own record label, dBpm Records and festival, Solid Sound.

It’s Holiday Magic time again at the LINQ Promenade Nov. 28-Dec. 25 with Thursday-Sunday nightly holiday stage shows complete with snowfall from 6-9 p.m. at the top of the hour as well as Dec. 23-25. The strolling piano and atmospheric entertainment will be Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 2-17 from 6-9 p.m. New this year is an interactive tree light display, where guests can create a personalized light show from their phone’s playlists. The “Holiday Glow” runway show will debut at The Great Hall in the Fashion Show mall on Black Friday, Nov. 29. The 15-minute runway production will cheer on visitors with a multi-show experience featuring glam, couture and high-fashion. The imaginative showcase will enliven the shopping destination every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the holiday season. Blue Man Group Las Vegas is treating fans to special holiday ticket offers. Guests can purchase two tickets for $99 when booking online between Nov. 29–Dec. 6. The offer is valid for performances from Dec. 1–22 and Jan. 5–June 30, 2020, with dates subject to availability. A minimum of two tickets must be purchased. Part of Opportunity Village’s Magical Forest holiday festivities are performances of “Elf The Musical” from Nov. 29-Dec. 27 with select dark nights. As a bonus, there will be two nightly performances on Saturdays Dec. 7, 14 and 21. The musical inspired by the 2003 comedy film with Will Ferrell has a professional cast of more than 20 members. The show is included in each general admission or passport ticket purchased; however, space is limited so best to purchase guaranteed seating online at Magical Forest. Downtown Container Park will hold Breakfast with Santa on Saturdays, Dec. 7 and 14 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The event includes having a photo taken with Santa, making your own hot chocolate, decorating holiday cookies and taking home a special ornament. The All You Can Eat Breakfast is $35, for Kids 15 and under $15, and All you Can Drink Mimosas for adults $15. Tickets are on the Downtown Container Park website.
MONDAYS DARK CELEBRATES 6TH ANNIVERSARY: Mondays Dark will celebrate its 6th Anniversary on Monday, Dec. 9 at the Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms. This anniversary event beginning at 8 p.m. will also celebrate hitting the $1 million mark of raising funds for Las Vegas’ philanthropic organizations. It will be a night of entertainment starring Vegas’ top entertainers as well as live and silent auctions. Tickets are $20 at Mondays Dark website. Entertainer and philanthropist Mark Shunock founded Mondays Dark in November 2013 with the goal to provide the community a mix of entertainment, music and comedy while supporting local charities. He opened The Space in 2017, which is the permanent home to Mondays Dark.
MOB MUSEUM HOSTS VIP SCREENING OF ‘MOB TOWN’: The Mob Museum will be hosting an invitation-only, VIP premiere on Saturday, Nov. 20 for a film based on a real-life event drawn from Mob history. Saban Films’ feature-length film “Mob Town” starring David Arquette is inspired by an ill-fated Mafia summit meeting in 1957 in the small town of Apalachin, N.Y. State Trooper Edgar Croswell, researching the license numbers of luxury cars coming into town, became suspicious mobsters were gathering at the rural estate of Joseph Barbara. Croswell called in reinforcements and set up a roadblock. The mobsters, including prominent New York bosses Vito Genovese, Carlo Gambino, Joe Profaci and Joe Bonanno panicked and attempted to flee the scene by car or on foot. The event revealed for certain Mafia existed in America and forced once-skeptical FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover to ramp up his agency’s efforts to fight organized crime. “Mob Town” will be released in theaters and on streaming services Dec. 13.

Ralph Perrazzo, owner and chef of b.B.d’s, and Palace Station have made a mutual decision to pursue different goals for their brands. Effective Nov. 30, b.B.d.’s, which opened in August 2018, will be closing and soon be moving to a new location and the existing space will become a Palace Station-managed concept. Andiamo Steakhouse at the D is offering a limited number of 100-day, dry-aged Snake River Farms American Wagyu Steaks during the National Finals Rodeo Dec. 5-14. The Italian eatery will have 200, 36 oz. steaks available for $175 each. Best to reserve a steak ahead of time by calling Andiamo 702-388-2220 or going online. Repeal Day in 1933 restored the American right to drink. On Thursday, Dec. 5, the luxe Bound Cocktail Lounge at The Cromwell with 1930s era décor in gold and dark tones, tasseled light fixtures and plush seating will commemorate the repeal of Prohibition from 5-7 p.m. with flappers, limited-time specialty cocktails, giveaways, drink samples and more. Repeal Day specialty cocktails for $12 will be available Dec. 5-29: Burgundy Sour; Gentleman’s Old Fashioned; and Woodford Julep. PT’s award-winning happy hour will be extended throughout December. Starting Sunday, Dec. 1 and available daily at all locations from 5 to 8 p.m. and midnight to 2 a.m.
‘BE PRESENT’ IS THEME FOR DECEMBER’S FIRST FRIDAY: The theme for First Friday on Dec. 6 from 5-11 p.m. is “Be Present.” The Featured Art will be Cult 33, a collective of four artists creating street art, fine art, woodwork, sculpture, print and more. Special guest Derek Weida, a wounded vet amputee from St. Paul, Minn., will show his paintings and discuss his journey. He was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division and has created a nonprofit for veterans, The Next Objective.
Museum of Selfies is now open at Miracle Mile Shops. Hours are daily 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Four-time Grammy Award winner Engelbert Humperdinck will headline 8 p.m. shows at the Orleans Showroom Nov. 29-Dec. 1. He found early success in the mid-1960s with the hit single “Release Me,” which reached No. 1 in 11 countries. Tickets start at $59.95. Orleans Arena and the San Diego Seals will host the first-ever National Lacrosse League (NLL) game in Las Vegas between the Seals and the Colorado Mammoth on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020. Game begins at 7 p.m. and tickets start at $24. The three-day Life Is Beautiful will return next year to Downtown Las Vegas, Friday-Sunday, Sept. 18-20 for the eighth year in a row and take over 18 city blocks with music, arts, culinary and comedy. In 2019, more than 170,000 festival attendees were treated to a weekend full of experiences driven by community transformation and individual empowerment. This week, the Neon Museum is welcoming its 1 millionth visitor, who will receive a commemorative “Neon Museum 1,000,000” neon sign, lifetime museum membership, and an overnight stay at Wynn. Nonprofit Las Vegas Fashion Council (LVFC) will present its “Little Black Dress and Tie” event at Gaudin Porsche of Las Vegas on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 6-8 p.m. with fashions by local vendors and established brands, as well as a student and emerging designer competition. The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) and UNLV Lee Business School have teamed up for “Outlook ’20” on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 7-9:30 a.m. in the Milan Ballroom at the M Resort. Gabriella Wilson, aka H.E.R. joined by friends celebrated winning Best R&B/Soul Female Artist at the recent 2019 Soul Train Awards with dinner at TAO inside The Venetian. Actors Terrence J and Damson Idris along with TV host Steelo Brim dined at LAVO inside The Palazzo and the following night had a family-style group dinner at TAO with two friends celebrating birthdays. Rapper P-Lo was spotted at TAO Nightclub taking in the sounds of DJ Justin Credible. Also seen at the club were Jack Flaherty and Dexter Fowler of the St. Louis Cardinals. Members of the acapella group Pentatonix were spotted dining at TAO under the famed Buddha. A guest at Paris hit the Face Up Pai Gow Poker Progressive Jackpot at its highest amount to date, $2,330,133.44 with a 7-card straight flush in diamonds one evening in November. The progressive links 48 Pai Gow Progressive tables across Caesars’ 13 properties statewide.
