PALMS CASINO RESORT WILL OPEN APRIL 27: The Palms Casino Resort will open again on April 27 and this time around make history as the first resort in Las Vegas fully owned and operated by a Native American Tribe. This new chapter in the Palms’ history will be celebrated with a fireworks extravaganza on opening night. Having undergone more than a $600 million renovation in 2019, the Palms boasts a diverse mix of bars and restaurants, along with the return of popular outlets such as Scotch 80 Prime and Mabel’s BBQ by Chef Michael Symon. Casual dining options include Send Noodles and the debut of Serrano Vista Cafe. The resort will also offer guests an expansive resort pool area featuring a multi-level, sprawling 73,000-square-foot space offering two luxurious main pools and 39 cabanas, most with their own private pool. The space also features oversized daybeds and poolside lounge chairs throughout. Additional information regarding spa, food and beverage, entertainment, pool and nightlife offerings will be announced soon including information for the 2,500-seat Pearl Theater.
NOBU AT PARIS LAS VEGAS IS NOW OPEN: In partnership with Nobu Restaurants, Caesars Entertainment has opened its second Nobu restaurant location on the Strip at Paris. The restaurant features world-renowned Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s signature New Style Japanese cuisine. Nobu at Paris follows the success of Nobu Restaurant & Lounge at Caesars Palace. The intimate 140-seat establishment is located adjacent to the newly opened Bobby’s Burgers. Hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Nobu at Paris features his signature dishes in a lighter, more intimate atmosphere with natural wood design elements. The menu offers a variety of fresh fish and seafood in the form of nigiri and sashimi, from salmon and toro to jumbo clam and sea urchin. Guests can also enjoy favorites including Yellow Tail Sashimi with Jalapeno, Black Cod Dry Miso and Wagyu Tacos. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are available as well. This restaurant opening follows the recent redesign of 182 guest rooms and suites at Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace, the luxury boutique hotel within the larger destination resort. The world’s first Nobu Hotel now features a more modern, residential feel with design inspiration from “kintsugi,” the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold epoxy. Nobu, the Japanese restaurant empire founded by partners Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, has expanded to include 45 restaurants around the globe along with a collection of Nobu Hotels.
WALK-ON’S SPORTS BISTREAUX HAS OPENED IN HARRAH’S: Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux – a leading sports restaurant with an underdog culture, Louisiana-inspired menu, and family-friendly atmosphere –opened recently to the public at Harrah’s marking the brand’s foray into the Las Vegas market. Based in Baton Rouge, Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux was founded in 2003 by Brandon Landry, a former walk-on basketball player at LSU. Leaning on the true spirit of a walk-on and building a winning culture, the brand is rapidly expanding across the United States. The restaurant with more than 82 TVs brings its unique Louisiana flavor to the world-famous Las Vegas Strip with diverse, made-from-scratch dishes including Crawfish Etouffee, Duck & Andouille Gumbo, and Krispy Kreme Donut Bread Pudding, game-day classics such as burgers, and everyday favorites like salads, wraps, and more. As the first Walk-On’s to feature a full breakfast menu, the Las Vegas location offers new menu items such as a French Toast Bacon Double Cheeseburger and Chicken & Waffles, in addition to staple dishes like Biscuits & Gravy, Beignets, and popular signature cocktails including the Mad Mary.
PITBULL ANNOUNCES 50+ DATE TOUR: After selling out more than 40 shows and performing to over 450,000 fans last year, Grammy-award winning superstar Mr. Worldwide aka Pitbull has announced his latest North American “Can’t Stop Us Now Tour” featuring Iggy Azalea and Sean Paul, and openers Globalization DJ’S. There will be a two-night tour stop in Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16-17 at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood. As well as being an independent international superstar, Pitbull is an education advocate, business entrepreneur and motivational speaker. Not only did he successfully help establish Sports Leadership Arts and Management (SLAM!) tuition-free public charter schools across the country, was honored by the United Nations General Assembly on behalf of Clean Water Here; he is a partner in eMerge Americas, the annual tech and innovation summit held in Miami; and he was honored alongside music legends as well as Nobel Peace Prize and Pulitzer Prize winners at the 2019 International Achievement Summit.
EVERCLEAR’S 30TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR WILL STOP AT M RESORT: Everclear, one of the leading alternative rock bands to emerge from the ‘90s, is celebrating 30 years as a band this year and to mark this major milestone, the quartet led by vocalist, guitarist and founder Art Alexakis is making a 25-plus date North American 30th Anniversary Tour featuring special guests Fastball and The Nixons with a live performance at M Resort inside the Pavilion on Saturday, Sept. 3. The setlist for this year’s tour will run the gamut of Everclear’s career including songs from their currently out-of-print full-length debut, 1993’s “World of Noise,” which the band has announced will be remastered and made available for the first time on all digital music streaming platforms on Friday, June 10 at 8 p.m. Tickets at M Resort, start at $35, and special VIP Packages at $129. Alexakis, who is almost 60 years old and has MS, admits the faces in his group have changed, but the music stays the same. Since forming in 1992, Everclear has had 11 studio releases, including four which have been certified Gold or Platinum, achieved 12 Top 40 Hit Singles on Mainstream Rock, Alternative, and Adult Top 40 radio, and had a 1998 Grammy nomination. In recent years, Alexakis created and runs the annual Summerland Tour, which features a package of popular ‘90s alt rock bands, and also released his first solo album, “Sun Songs,” in 2019.
MONSTER JAM® RETURNS CELEBRATING ITS 30TH ANNIVERSARY: After a nearly-three-year hiatus following the pandemic pause, Monster Jam will roar back to Las Vegas for an adrenaline-charged weekend at the Thomas & Mack Center July 22-24. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the 12,000-pound Monster Jam trucks will push all limits going head-to-head for points in Freestyle, Skills, Donuts and Racing competitions. The massive machines capable of doing backflips, vertical two-wheel skills and racing at speeds up to 70-miles-per-hour produce jaw-dropping, live motorsports action. The popular Monster Jam Pit Party fan experience is scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday, where fans can see the massive trucks up close, meet their favorite drivers and crews, take pictures and enjoy other family-friendly fun. Pit Passes are available for $20 for this VIP experience.
PARTICLE INK: SPEED OF DARK’ IS OPENING IN LAS VEGAS ARTS DISTRICT: “Particle Ink: Speed of Dark,” an original, immersive mixed-reality experience bringing visitors through a portal into the 2.5th dimension, will open a limited-run on April 16 at The LightHouse, located at 918 Main Street in the 18b Las Vegas Arts District. Sprung from the inventive minds of The LightPoets, “Speed of Dark” is a mind-bending mixed reality installation with live performances. Revealing a rupture in the Particle Ink Metaverse, where the virtual world blends into the physical world, “Speed of Dark” invites visitors to explore an abandoned warehouse that contains a portal into the 2.5th dimension. Otherwise, invisible, the in-between realm of the 2.5th is that liminal space between waking and sleeping, where the rabbit waits before being pulled out of the hat and where ideas reside waiting to be found.
THE STRAT REOPENS WET24 AND ELATION POOLS: With the entrance located on the 24th floor, WET24 offers an intimate and fun environment, complemented by panoramic views of the Las Vegas Valley and Strip. Elation, The STRAT’s vibrant, resort-style pool, is located on the 8th floor and offers three spas, VIP-style cabanas, chaise lounges and stunning views. Hours are daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and hotel guests receive complimentary admission to both. WET24 and Elation serve a variety of specialty cocktails, including signature selections and frozen cocktails to go along with a wide array of poolside bites.
ROB GARRETT WILL PERFORM NEIL DIAMOND FOR ARIZONA CHARLIE’S: Rob Garrett will perform two, two-hour shows for the first time ever at Arizona Charlie’s – Decatur for the resort’s 34th anniversary celebration. Garrett never performed at Arizona Charlie’s, nor performed two, two-hour “Diamond” shows in one evening. It’s rare for a casino to allow a performer to perform that long. There will be an early show at 5 p.m. followed by a late show at 8 p.m. This past January veteran Las Vegas entertainer Garrett performed his Neil Diamon show to approximately 1,800 people at the M Resort and Casino during a resurging pandemic. He performed over 90 minutes with a 17-piece orchestra. Garrett is widely considered America’s No. 1 Neil Diamond tribute artist and has come to be known, worldwide, as the “King of Diamonds”. He has been performing in Las Vegas for more than four decades and has received numerous accolades and awards. From 1980 to 1995, Garrett fronted his own popular local Las Vegas band “Rock n Roll Heaven.”
STUDENT FARMERS MARKET RETURNS TO DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN: The nation’s largest Student Farmers Market will take place at Downtown Summerlin under the Pavilion on Earth Day, April 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Organized by Green Our Planet, a local nonprofit which helps schools nationwide to plant and operate indoor and outdoor gardens, the market is presented in partnership with Bank of Nevada and Clark County School District (CCSD). It will feature produce from gardens at 50-plus schools throughout CCSD. More than 500 student farmers will be on hand to sell their produce to the public with all proceeds going directly to participating school garden programs. According to Ciara Byrne, founder & co-CEO, Green Our Planet, school gardens provide hands-on STEM learning in an exciting way, helping students to learn about nutrition, science, conservation, and math. The Student Farmers Market provides an opportunity for students to learn about business and finance running their own business by pricing their produce and selling it at the market.
DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN® LAUNCHES NEW LEI DAY PARADE: Downtown Summerlin® will be recognizing Lei Day, May 1 with a new parade to celebrate and kick off Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and the rich heritage of the Hawaiian and Pacific Islands. This colorful and visual public parade is set for Sunday, May 1 at 6 p.m. on Park Centre Drive with festivities beginning at 5:30 p.m. Lei Day is a statewide celebration in Hawaii and was established as a holiday in 1929. Each Hawaiian Island has a different type of lei for its people to wear in the celebration.The parade, in partnership with BESTAgency, will feature local organizations including Nani ola Hawaiian dance company, Na hula o kaleiokapualani and Tevakanui Polynesian Dance Company. Parade watchers will experience performances such as the Ancient Hula Kahiko accompanied by a chanter who tells the story; the free-flowing modern style of Hula Auana; the passion and pride of the Māori Haka; the rapid hip-shaking movements of the Tahitian Dances and much more!
RICK HARRISON LEADS 8th ANNUAL ‘PAWN STARS POKER RUN’: Rick Harrison of History’s hit reality show “Pawn Stars” will lead his 8th Annual “Pawn Stars Poker Run” this year benefitting The Hundley Foundation on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, May 28 with registration starting at 9:30 a.m. Run proceeds will benefit families and individuals struggling with the complications epilepsy brings into someone’s life and family. NFL QB Brett Hundley, co-founder of The Hundley Foundation, will also be in attendance. Harrison will lead motorcycle riders starting at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop on Las Vegas Blvd. Other stops will include the 106-year-old historic Pioneer Saloon in Goodsprings, Nev., as well as other places. The final stop will bring the riders back downtown to Pawn Plaza for the official after party featuring a raffle, live band, and catering by Rick’s Rollin Smoke BBQ & Tavern. Participants will have their chance to win $2,000 for best hand and $1,000 for the worst hand, among many other prizes.
MIKKEY DEE OF SCORPIONS SURPRISES FANS AT THE BARBERSHOP: Rock superstar drummer Mikkey Dee of the iconic rock band Scorpions made a surprise appearance at The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails at The Cosmopolitan following the band’s concert at Zappos Theater. The Barbershop continues to be a popular spot for superstar artists like Machine Gun Kelly, Zac Brown, Gavin DeGraw and Macy Gray to surprise audiences in a cool, intimate bar. The swanky 150-seat cocktail and intimate rock lounge is hidden behind the storefront of an upscale men’s grooming salon.

The Las Vegas Aviators®, Las Vegas Ballpark® and the Southern Nevada Health District have teamed up to declare Las Vegas Ballpark a smoke-free facility. The new policy took effect on the Aviators’ opening day, April 5. Imagine Exhibitions, the producers behind REAL BODIES at Bally’s, recently presented local nonprofit Children’s Heart Foundation with a check for $3,000 from funds raised through ticket sales to the immersive exhibit during February for National Heart Month.
